I...Good one, Praveen (or is it <i>Subburathinam</i>? :D) <br /><br />I can relate to this one - people living outside India go for names with fewer syllables, obviously to avoid the invariable mauling that they undergo when a foreign tongue says the same!<br /><br />Reminds me of this incident - my prof in Houston printed namecards for everyone, and on the first day refused to say my name aloud!
